I would like to honour this sacred land on which I practice. For thousands of years, it has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and the Mississaugas of the Credit. It is still home to many Indigenous people, and I am grateful to call this land home, as well. The effects of residential schools and colonialism on Indigenous families and communities persist and I am committed to moving forward in a spirit of collaboration and reconciliation.
